Wonderfull with this forum to get in touch with other foreigners in Arcos area.

We are Olga and Jan from Copenhagen in Denmark and we would like to meet and socialise with people here.

In September 2019 we took over a wonderful townhouse in c/ San Juan 8. A narrow street with parking limitations - smile.

I, Jan are now retired IT consultant and will be most of the time in Arcos.

There are always issues buying an old house and I need contact with an English or German-speaking electrician and a plumber. Can someone advise me?

What about new years eve? Someone making a party?

New to area we have noticed nest appearing, but have no real Spanish to get advice, our dog has had a nasty run in with these beasties, please any advice on how to get this sorted would be greatly appreciated

I'm currently a male primary school teacher in Scotland. In the next few years my wife and I are looking at moving out to Spain permanently.  We have good friends in  Chiclana and hope to move close to them and we've visited the area 3 times in the past year. I just wondered what the opportunities were like for someone like me working in Chiclana / Cadiz / Andalusia in general. By the way my specialism is early years but I have worked right across the primary sector. Where or who would you suggest I contact to get my name 'out there', for want of a better expression?

I (58, female) will be spending the winter in Chiclana (3 months until end of March), together with my 3 little dogs. Looking for people who would like to meet up once in a while for e. g. a long walk on the beaches with the dogs, lunch, visiting a bar or venta together etc. I do speak German, English, French and Spanish.

We have a sofa which needs to be taken to the recycling facility (the cat has peed on it and its really old so can't really donate to charity I don't think!). It doesn't fit in our car though so we were wondering if there is any service where someone can collect it to dispose of it?
