Just a note to recommend a couple of people. We have been looking for property for a few years and decided on Jerez a year ago. I had read some awful horror stories about buying in spain so did a lot of digging on line and tried to plan in advance as much as possible which was one of the reasons for joining this forum.

We exchanged on a property on monday this week  using the spanish lawyer as power of attorney and we complete on Nov 8th. We viewed a property we offered on and within three days the lawyer and agent between them had answered all of our  questions and concerns. We used a spanish firm of lawyers in jerez, all of whom speak excellent english and handle evertything from taxation, private litigation to property sales/purchases. The process has been simple and very straight forward and they have been a pleasure to deal with, efficient and very  helpful. Just in case anyone needs any services they are Konsell Abogados y Asesores, SL in Jerez. The property purchase was done by Antonio Lara. They are also providing our wills immediately after the completion. The other person worth a mention was an estate agent Tony Martinez of Umbra Inmobiliaria in Jerez, I have a contact number if anyone needs it. I am not a fan of estate agents despite being in commercial and domestic property in the UK as my job. But he has been communicative and helpful and quite honestly not what I was expecting. I am staggered so far as to how helpful and efficient they have been making the whole process painless. Thoroughly recommend both of  them. Steve

We are a small rural ecological finca with self-catering holiday rentals near Dehesa Montenmedio 5km from Vejer de la Frontera, looking for a local part-time daily caretaker based within 10 minutes drive  - as you will also need to be nearby to occasionally provide quick resolutions or deal with 'emergencies', such replacing a lost key.  Practical DIY skills, basic gardening eg mowing and watering as well as cleaning pools during Summer are the main tasks - while feeding and keeping an eye on our friendly cats is important too!  The work will be year-round for the right person with additional projects depending on skills, daily during Summer (split between morning and an hour in the evening) - while Winter hours (Nov to Jan) are far more flexible.  Suit semi-retired or perhaps shared.

Hello I am staying in Zahora, can anybody tell me where I can get an antigen test to fly to UK in Cornil de la Frontera. I have been told you can travel with this and it’s not so expensive as a PCR.

18 months I was looking at moving down from Sitio de Calahonda to the more appealling Costa Del La Luz area then Covid hit and the plans were shelved. However two jabs later and  lightat the end of the tunnel has reawakened my lust.

I am searching around the Costa Del La Luz area for a Çhalet'(Villa) preferably not one which is Óff-Grid' and my budget is Wuro 180K - not a huge amount but I have seen multiple properties that would suit....but that was last year. Right now I;m looking for a reputable Real Estate company (English speaking) who can assist, easy you may say but I have not had any luck so far !

Is there anyone who an recommend a suitable Agency to me ?

Can anyone recommend a good economical accountant to do my annual tax return.

Hi there...on the way over end of sept. I've hired a car at the airport and now the company are pushing me to take extra insurance cover....last year when i did this and got to the desk i was told that that wasn't their insurance having paid another 80e....and if i wanted full cover i have to pay them extra at the counter....so 80e was wasted ...i was thinking of ignoring the extra insurance requests and just paying when i get there ...any thoughts
