Hi, my name is John, I am considering purchasing a house in Conil, I will be there for a long weekend in the next fortnight, and would be very grateful to meet up with some English speaking residents.

I live in Chiclana (Pago del Humo) and need to have curtains, blinds and some loose covers made to measure.   I have most of the material (except the lining) and am hoping that someone can help me or point me in the right direction.   Regards, Diana Hutchison

Hello, my wife and I are moving to Conil de la Frontera at the beginning of February and are looking for a long term rental. This is a permanent move for us so seasonal rentals are not an option. I ideally looking for a one year rental with the potential to stay on. We've been searching online but are currently struggling to find anything. Hello all,

In 2023 (27th May to June 2nd) the Hertfordshire Big Band will be visiting the area. We are an amateur band comprising doctors, teachers, microbiologists, rocket scientists and a five times world memory champion who still forgets the route to rehearsals (I kid you not). Through the year the band performs at many varied venues, from jazz clubs via concert halls to charity functions. My job, apart from playing with the band when travel allows, is to find gigs for this tour. We will be based in Chipiona (where I now live) but will be able to travel as far as Barbate along the coast and inland as far as Sevilla. Typical places to play are hotels, theatres, outdoor bandstands and the like. Due to things being slow to reopen after COVID I’m struggling a bit to identify potential gigs and so if anyone has any suggestions or would like to host us for a gig then please contact me. We require approximately 8m wide by 5m deep flat space and access to mains electricity. Our repertoire ranges from the classic Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington charts through to more contemporary pieces by Gordon Goodwin, Bob Mintzer and others. We usually carry two singers who cover well known numbers by Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Leigh, Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Michael Buble and others. Hi there i am visiting Conil for a couple of months later this year . I was there last year for a couple of months but met very few English speaking people as i am visiting without my partner (she is fluent in Spanish) i wondered are there any cafes/bars that English speaking people frequent ???
