I have a miniature poodle and love the beach, but it has come to my attention, that the Junta del Andalucia has put up "new" notices, even in the notice board of the market in Chiclana town centre that no dogs on beaches any more even in winter. This was confirmed to me by my taxi driver who has police friends. He said they told him they would only ignore on the rocky, stony beaches, but if a complaint came in they would put a multa there too. This apparently will apply throughout Andalucia 😢
I'm still wondering where to go as bad time for parks with pine trees.

Hi,
I was not aware of this. Is it really that strict? Have been to Chiclana beach yesterday and there were loads of dogs running around.

Hello again, I wasn't sure either having lived in Andalucia for 17 yrs. However, I've asked a few questions and my regular taxi driver (who has dogs) enquired of his police friends & they confirmed they "might" avert their eyes on rocky beaches only, but would still issue a Denuncia if a complaint came in & then multa issued. The President of the Chifra Org (for Ex-Pats) also brought it to my attn. I think if notice is new, they might give time for it to get around and then pounce!! A bit of luck & borrowed time. It's such a shame that a few have ruined it for the majority. I'm afraid the choice is yours! There are quite a lot of lovely beaches doggies would love & not so popular with the humans without dogs - just needs a car to search them out and not too far away etc. If I still had my car, I would show you one or two, but am car-less now!
HAPPY NEW YEAR and may it bring all you wish for.

Hi Marga,
I do have a car, no problem. Will be on my own after Jan. 12th. We could go on a trip and explore the less frequented beaches, if you want to. Where do you live/stay? I am in Chiclana
