As we all now know relocating to Spain comes with more requirements.

I was wondering how you all tackled the accommodation test when completing your visa application.

As i understand it they like to see a 12 month lease ?

Your story would be much appreciated

I am considering relocating to Spain and because I am between homes, I have a note of exemption from my solicitor stating that I can travel (overseas if necessary) to search. However, this is not straightforward in the UK as most establishments are closed. Those that are open for people like me or essential workers, offer a bed but no food/drink. I am currently renting but dreadfully unhappy, as the only option was a flat, on a main road, with no green space. I am actively investigating my options. It occurred to me that I could offer my services as a Dyslexia Therapist (NHS trained at St Bart's before the syndrome was taken over by Education) in the 1980s.  I've worked with all age groups on a one to one basis and in many places across the globe. The focus of my Master's in Psychology was the assessment and remediation of specific learning differences. But it also included Counselling and I've worked within HE not only as a Lecturer but as a Counsellor.  Rather than ask for a fee, I was wondering if there would be an interest in me providing 2 hours a day of private tutoring for 5 days a week in return for self-contained accommodation? The activities can be described as multi-sensory as although the focus will be on literacy -  dyslexia is about far more than reading. My particular interest is in laterality and what we can do to encourage information between the hemispheres to move more fluidly. The thought of tutoring arose as I have been offered such an arrangement in England but not starting until September. I would have hoped to have found my own home by then. If any of this is of interest, please do not hesitate to be in touch.

Since I do not know the area, I'd be happy to be anywhere along the Costa de la Luz. One of my considerations is being able to fly into Gib, which may (?) be fractionally easier given the circs than aiming direct for Spain.

 Thank you. ChrisT.
