I am desperately trying to check the welfare of my Step Father who is based in Alcaidesa. I last spoke with him in July however there has been some activity on his mobile phone more recently. Unfortunately I know the road and urbanisation that he lives(d) on but not the number of the apartment. He was not in contact with any other family so I have been unable to check if he is still there or if he is ok. I am very concerned and am looking to book a flight out to see for myself, Im using this forum as a last resort. His name is Bill Mulholland. Last know to be a resident of La Alcaidesa Golf and Beach Resort, Av. Del Golf, 11360, San Roque. He has a little dog and would commonly visit La Finca restaurant and a local square (semi circle) of restaurants/shops closer to the beach. Any help anyone can offer would be greatfully received.

Can anyone tell me what plans Alcaidesa have for the future. I know about the Fairmount hotel and the golf courses. What other things in the town etc coming up. Any information helpful.

We are looking for an apartment in either Portofino or Vista Real.

Hi,just recently completed on a 2 bed/2bath apartment in the Birdie Club,Alcaidesa.

Due to some incompetence on the part of the person dealing with the exchange of my UK licence for a Spanish one, my UK licence was a couple of days out of date by the time the application was made.

Traffico say they will not give me a Spanish licence unless I have a valid UK one but I cannot apply for a UK licence as I no longer live there.  Before anyone suggests it, the penalty for giving a false UK address is two years in prison!

I dread the thought of taking a Spanish driving test but cannot think what else to do.  If anyone has any ideas, I would welcome them.
