We will be spending the month of September in Jimena de la Frontera. I was planning to get a rental car car at the Malaga airport and then drive to the village. My options then are to 1) keep the car for the entire month or 2) take the car back to Malaga after a week or so and then make other arrangements while we're in Jimena. The problem is that their will be many days in Jimena when we won't need a car (for day trips etc.). So, that's why I'm wondering if option 2 is viable. Is it possible to rent a car for a few days at a time when in Jimena itself (looking at the Web there don't seem to be any agencies there). I also have the problem of getting back from Malaga when dropping off the rental car (buses? train?). Any suggestions as to the best way to approach this would be welcome! Thanks.

Hi all! Am heading to Spain tomorrow. My dogs already en route. I need to get them the tick/mosquito collars when I arrive (was told late last night and all shops closed today) can someone recommend one. Am actually staying in San Pable de Bruceite. Thanks!

We are moving to Jimena in May with our 4-year-old.  I'm having difficulty finding information on what the school situation is in town.  Any information would be appreciated.  TIA.

I have recently bought a house in Gaucin and I'm looking for a range of items eg mirrors, lamps etc. I understand there is a second hand furniture shop in Jimena called Deja Vu. Is that correct and is it open? I have an idea that it might be closed for the winter. I'm coming back at Easter and would very much like to visit the shop/warehouse if possible. Can anyone advise?
