Buying a cheap (!) second hand car locally

Running a car is getting more and more expensive. Renting a car, if you are retiring is tricky as there is an age limit.

 A second hand car is tricky, you can get a brilliant buy or a real dud. Perhaps you know about enough about cars to repair them.

Then although in the end taxis are expensive. They work out cheaper if you live in a town and can walk everywhere. if you are going to live in the countryside that is another issue. You don't mention where you are going to live but Seville, Jerez and Gibraltar are brilliant airports with good connections to Costa de la Luz by bus.
