How could I contact David Ruis please? I think I have an NIE but can't find the paperwork and I opened a bank account with Santander in Rincon de la Victoria near Malaga that I would like to use but it seems I can put money in but cannot have a bank card without going there or maybe having a resi...

...dential address in Spain. I went to Denia and showed them the card and they confiscated it!

His email is david@torreviejatranslation.com, tel (00 34) 689 416 103, web https://torreviejatranslation.com/

But I think he must be very busy as he's not been answering my emails or picking up the phone.

Im just wondering what it is like living in Arcos de La Frontera all year round. Is it cold in the winter? Is it difficult to get around without a car? How can you ensure a property is not illegal?

Hello, we have lived very close to Arcos for over 16 years and love it here. A good solicitor will be able to establish the legal situation regarding any property you are interested in. I would avoid a property that is not 100% legal, has no debt attached to it or that has any long lost relatives still with any kind of part ownership claim. I have seen plenty of these types of situations and it never ends well.

Even modern properties are unlikely to have built in heating so can be cold in winter. Wall mounted heaters are available, so are portable heaters of every size. A wood burner is a good option.

Good luck.

Hi Charlotte am currently in El Palmar and am thinking about where I would like to settle, wonder what is it about Arcos that you prefer to Vejer?

Hi. There are a lot of lovely walks around Arcos. Do you live in Arcos now?  We have a WhatsApp chat group for the town but there aren’t many walkers. I am an avid walker from the United States and have lived in Arcos 8 years. When I return in January we can go out.  My number is 685237094. Send me a WhatsApp message and I’ll put you on the group.
