Hello future neighbours!

I'm being a house in Alcaidesa and want to bring my cat with me next July.  BA (partnered with PetAir) is quoting £1200 plus, which seems excessive for such a short trip.  I hear Iberia does it for around 150E. Any suggestions please?

Thank you in advance

Hello Peter,

That does seem to be really expensive. We travel between Toronto Canada and Madrid and of course Madrid - Toronto, with our cat - approx 4000 miles.

The airline (Air Canada) charge 100 Canadian dollars  each way (approx 67 Euro) and he travels in cabin in a carrier with us. Not sure what PetAir is, but we just book our cat with us when we book ourselves with Air Canada.

Hoping you find a more acceptable price,

Best Regards,

Mike

Thanks Mike. That gives me hope. Iberia seems to offer a similar service to yours so I'll investigate there. Cheers Peter

I brought my cats out from UK to Costa Blanca overland last year. At that time no airlines (that I tried) were flying pets due to Covid.

I'm not sure if European carriers let you take your cat in the cabin, but I didn't ask Iberia, so good luck :)
