Hi there thank you for adding me to your forum.

Me and my husband are looking to buy a beach front home, and are wanting to get out for a month over from mid December to mid January are our business is quiet then! 

Could I ask for ideas where best to look at, we love the beach but also love restaurants, a glass of wine, history and things to keep us out of trouble 🤩 also could you recommend where to stay during our month exploration visit please 👍🤩

Wondering if anyone knows of any agencies within Spain that deal in offshore wind or subsea cable projects? My husband (Scottish) is soon to go freelancing as a project manager/engineer and is on the lookout for work. Has lots of contacts in the uk but would like to find some agencies in Spain.

My family has a holiday house in Las Redes which we visit every year (we live in Scotland). This year my husband and I are thinking of visiting for a longer stretch in the summer and potentially working for a bit there too. 

Can anyone recommend any good co-working spaces in or around El Puerto? Doesn't need to be anything fancy just good wifi and a quiet space. We are probably looking for a space for the first 2/3 weeks of June.

My husband and I are leaving next week for 2-1/2 months in Spain. (We have Feb in El Puerto de Santa Maria and March in Leon. Before El Puerto, we have a week in Benalmadena on the Costa Del Sol. After that, we rent a one-way car to go to Granada for  3 nights, 1/29-2/1 Sat-Mon, then we plan to take 2 days to drive to El Puerto, arriving Wed. 2/2.

So my question is about the drive. We’d really like to get at least a peek at the Rock of Gibraltar, but from there we have a choice: Take the E5 down to Tarifa, then over to Cadiz on the southernmost route, going through Vejer de la Frontera and Chiclana de la Frontera. OR go a bit north on the A381 through Los Barrios…Alcala de los Galuzes…Medina-Sedonia  ending in Jerez de la Frontera before we jog down to El Puerto.

We’d love to hear from anyone who’s familiar with these two different routes and which would be a better use of our car and time. Must sees? Don’t bothers? Good places to eat/stay overnight?)

Myself and partner are considering buying a place in El Puerto de Santa Maria, where we would plan to run a guest house and cafe/bar. After a recent visit out of season we found it quite a charming working town with some good restaurants, a good food market, good location for Cadiz and Seville etc. But more affordable than somewhere like Vejer de la Frontera where we were originally considering.

Just wanted to get anyone's thoughts and opinions on El Puerto as a place to live . Any feedback gratefully appreciated!

I am in El Puerto de Santa Maria for 3 months with a view to moving here after Ive cleared some ends in Bahrain where I have lived for 12 years. 

I am British and my BF who American. Hes working most days so im looking to meet some new friends. I have only just picked up a learn Spanish book so I cant manage even a sentence yet. 

Be great to meet some new people or to get some advise where I could go and socialise and hopefully learn some Spanish at the same time. 

Also hoping to find a group of cyclists once i get my bike here....
