We are a small rural ecological finca with self-catering holiday rentals near Dehesa Montenmedio 5km from Vejer de la Frontera, looking for a local part-time daily caretaker based within 10 minutes drive  - as you will also need to be nearby to occasionally provide quick resolutions or deal with 'emergencies', such replacing a lost key.  Practical DIY skills, basic gardening eg mowing and watering as well as cleaning pools during Summer are the main tasks - while feeding and keeping an eye on our friendly cats is important too!  The work will be year-round for the right person with additional projects depending on skills, daily during Summer (split between morning and an hour in the evening) - while Winter hours (Nov to Jan) are far more flexible.  Suit semi-retired or perhaps shared.

Hello everyone,

Need your help and compassion to adopt a lovely female cat.

She adopted us 3 months ago and has been part of our family since then. Unfortunately we travel, with our own cat, back and forth between Canada and Chiclana and are unable to take her with us, (in four weeks time). She is a smart, playful and loves to be petted, she  will make a wonderful family pet for someone. We would love to keep her ourselves, but unfortunately not possible due to the in-cabin arrangements with our own cat. Prior to delivering to your home we will have our vet complete a full medical examination and insert a chip. She has been spayed.

We are quickly exhausting all other avenues, please help.

I lost the board in the ocean a few days ago, it has north vatio bindings and is the same model as the picture below, i‘ll be happy to pay a finders reward.

Wondering if anyone knows of any agencies within Spain that deal in offshore wind or subsea cable projects? My husband (Scottish) is soon to go freelancing as a project manager/engineer and is on the lookout for work. Has lots of contacts in the uk but would like to find some agencies in Spain. 

Primarily looking for regular cleaning and minor house maintenance services before and after visitors through the year. There is a small pool and garden outside, so also able to offer additional work to maintain these. 

Buenos dias every one. I am a British European, now living in Chiclana with Teresa, my Spanish partner. Teresa was born and raised in Cadiz, Frontera and Chiclana. She has family here but, although they have been very welcoming, I don't know many people here yet. 

I would like to meet a few brits abroad for maybe a beer or 2. I particularly like live music if you can point me in the right direction.

In 2023 (27th May to June 2nd) the Hertfordshire Big Band will be visiting the area. We are an amateur band comprising doctors, teachers, microbiologists, rocket scientists and a five times world memory champion who still forgets the route to rehearsals (I kid you not). Through the year the band performs at many varied venues, from jazz clubs via concert halls to charity functions. My job, apart from playing with the band when travel allows, is to find gigs for this tour. We will be based in Chipiona (where I now live) but will be able to travel as far as Barbate along the coast and inland as far as Sevilla. Typical places to play are hotels, theatres, outdoor bandstands and the like. Due to things being slow to reopen after COVID I’m struggling a bit to identify potential gigs and so if anyone has any suggestions or would like to host us for a gig then please contact me. We require approximately 8m wide by 5m deep flat space and access to mains electricity. Our repertoire ranges from the classic Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington charts through to more contemporary pieces by Gordon Goodwin, Bob Mintzer and others. We usually carry two singers who cover well known numbers by Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Leigh, Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Michael Buble and others.
