I am staying in the historical part of Arcos Courtesy of a Spanish friend. The place has a lovely roof terrace and I am thinking of buying my friend a BBQ for outdoor cooking. Looking around other roof terraces, I can't see a single one so first question; are BBQs allowed? If they are, my guess is charcoal is a menace to keep getting up the hill and disposing off afterwards. So if gas , I notice there is some kind of gas service (green bottle swap?).is that the best way? Recommendations, including where to buy greatfully received.

Hello - I'm asking on behalf of my brother who is spending the winter in Tarifa. He needs some basic help each day for 3-5 hours. He's very independent but he has Parkinson's - and as his sister, I'd just like to make sure he has someone to support him - take him out to the beach/ coffee etc - and generally check he's ok. It's a perfect job for someone working part time who would like extra work! Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss in more detail. Experience would be nice - but the right person more important than anything!

We recently moved to Chiclana and my wife who is both a qualified teacher and also has taught english for 5 years in schools and companies in Madrid is looking for anyone who has Spanish friends who are looking for someone who has family members who want to learn or improve their English. Preferably here in Chiclana but can do on line classes over Skype Zoom etc

Even if it just for an hour or so a week. Any age as she is currently teaching a 1 year old but has done all levels up to adult

My partner and I are hoping to move to Chiclana next year.  This seems like a really useful and friendly forum, so I hope you don't mind us signing up in advance. We are hoping to learn a bit more about the place and people, perhaps pick up some tips, ask a few questions (probably lots of questions) and just get to know you all a little.

We are middle aged ish. I am a senior web dev and my partner is a photographer and artist.  We have a very cute cat called Catorce. We're currently living in Nottingham, UK. Many years ago I lived in Valencia helping to run a youth hostel so I speak a little Spanish. We are spending a lot of time on duolingo to learn more and brush up.

I will be grateful if I can get some clarifications on the Schengen rules that will be introduced next year. Does the rules affect EU member or non EU? Not all the EU members are in Schengen area. The total stay is to be 90 days within 180-day period.
