Accessibility Vejer de la Frontera

Hi,

I was wondering if Vejer de la Frontera is accessible to people with second home in Vejer (I plan to travel 1511...)?

And once in Vejer is it allowed to go by car to El Palmar for walks on the beach ?

Thank you for your help, all information is welcome

Jean-Marie

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your post. I don't live there, we only have a second résidence there... Our main residence is in Belgium... I have heard that people with 2 residence in the current Covid-19 circumstances are not welcome (which I can understand in some circumstances).

But wanted to assure me that it is indeed the case.
Many thanks
Jean-Marie

You'd have to find out the official position, but I doubt it the borders between different regions are closed except the for specific reasons e.g. Work, caring for someone, official appointments. You can't travel between one municipality to another except for the same reasons so you can't travel from Vejer to Conil. So doubt if a second home would be a justification, but best to find out officially.

Hi, I will be moving to Vejer in the new year and will be coming over for the weekend of 6 Dec to sort out a few things. I realise now this is a “puente” weekend due to Constitution Day and Immaculate Conception feast day. Will there still be bars/ restaurants open ( subject to local Covid rules) ? Also is there a bar showing English football ( Sorry, my one weakness) in or nearby? I suspect travel to Cadiz City is not permitted.

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hi Paul

We live in vejer we have been here since August. Bars and restaurants are open until 6pm at the moment and this is in place until 10th December. We haven’t found anywhere yet that shows English football here although you probably can in Conil or Chiclana but again you are restricted from there until after 10th. This also applies to Cádiz city unless you have an appointment there. Good luck with the move. Karen

Hi paul

There is bars and restaurants open till 6 pm as for watching the footy there’s bars showing games in chilclana but you can not go there if you are in vejer and the and police do checks at weekends as I have found out going to Cadiz
