Hi,
I have been coming to Vejer for 10 years now but car hire from the airport has become too expensive for me. Two weeks with Avis in October is £500.
Can anyone suggest /help me ? Can I get from Gibraltar to Vejer on Public Transport and then once in Vejer hire a moped in order to get to the beaches ? Your suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi
The bus company Comes run from La Linea bus station to Vejer.
It stops at a venta in the lower part of Vejer where there is a taxi rank to take you to wherever.
The bus station is 5 minutes walk from the border in Gibraltar.
Comes have a web page for bus times and the cost is around €10.

Take early flight to Gib. Walk across the border to bus station, about 8 minutes. Catch bus to Vejer de la Frontera [ Seville bus] and take a taxi up the hill from there. Bus company online TG Comes.com I think
