Hola muchachos!

My name is Thomas and I am going through a process to join a company in Gibraltar soon.

Financial aspects aside, what are the things (good and bad) to consider when moving with wife and dog to San Roque or other cities nearby Gibraltar (La Linea, Los Barrios, Algecira, etc)?

Any advice is very useful. I am interested in topics related to quality of life overall, like: Safety (important), local market and shops, things to do, renting a house/flat, if they accept foreigners well, and any other aspects that you believe are important.

I am coming from a somewhat big city, so I am not sure what to expect. Also, consider spanish as not being a problem to learn as I know a bit.

Thanks for any advice you can give me. Cheers!

T.

Hi, learn spanish..its a must. The wages in Gib are far far less than uk. I dropped 18k to get employment back in 2004. Register with agencies and job centre, known as ETB

Have a well written CV.

The weather is beautiful out here, yes some rain, but when working out here -

You have to drop the holiday mode attitude, otherwise your stay will be short lived. Good luck.
