Hi all, I have recently moved to Sancti Petri, Chiclana with my husband and two boys aged 4 and 1. Ideally looking to meet other people with children but happy to meet up with any English speakers in the area. Our Spanish is limited and we are currently seeking lessons! If anyone know of any groups/ activity’s for children this would be most appreciated as I wish to keep them happy in there new home. Thanks Laura

Hi, Laura and Tracy, We have recently decided to live part-year in La Barrosa and although during the summer the place is buzzing with people, we miss the chat and catch-up with friends, especially now the winter in looming. We have heard of a mixed nationality group that meets in a Venta/Bar called West World next to a roundabout on a Tuesday afternoon at 2. We were kindly invited to go along, but we have been unable to locate the Venta/Bar?  It would be nice to get together with other people looking for friendship also.

You can assist to free Spanish lessons in Dionisio Montero School for foreigners people, it is close to Public Market in the town center.

Welcome Laura,

The chiclana 'walk and talk' group (English, Irish & Spanish) meet Wednesday and Friday at 11.00am at La barrosa beach next to the red cross.

They usually walk the beach with general chit chat also helping the Spanish who attend with their English and finish with a coffee on the beach front. Ideal for yourself and your husband. My wife and I have recently moved here also and it was the first group we joined. A very relaxing 2 hours of your morning.

You can find them on facebook.
