Hi everyone, I know this is a strange and difficult time for all of us but am hoping for some clarity re lock down from Monday. Essentially are we still able to take our beloved dog for a walk!??

Also assuming that we are also still permitted to dispose of our household rubbish as per normal.

Really want to know what to do so any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, understand your anxiety regarding this. My understanding is that you are able to walk your dog; but other than going to the pharmacy, food store, doctors or work you must stay indoors. During the Q&A session following the prime minister’s on Saturday it was clarified that walking your pet is permitted. Have a look at www.local.es or www.citizenadvice.org.es you’ll see all you need to know regarding the current situation. Good luck🌺

The Government's Instructions regarding walking your dog is that you may take your dog out to do its business only and as near to your home as possible.  You cannot go for a walk as such.  One person only and not forgetting to keep your distance from any other person.  So hardly a walk !!!  I hope this helps.

A hard time for our furry friends.  Giving them 'mind' games burns up a lot of energy.

Wishing everyone well...

Thank you so much!! Our little furry friend is a bit stressed but is adjusting to the change in his routines slowly. We play lots of ball games with him and have toys which make food time more fun.

He and we will be fine I'm sure. Again thank you!!

Hi,

I've checked with Chifra (Chiclana Foreign Residence Assoc) and Adults are allowed out for a walk on 2-May, but 'details', as yet, have not been put out.  It's still very much a waiting game on a day-to-day basis.  Until then, as far as I'm able to find out, it is still 50 mtrs max outside your home for our furries!

Keep smiling, keep safe.

Hi, we were advised this by a Spanish friend. He said we can now walk the dog but only one of us, he said this is separate to people going out together. So now confused. Com but that is my usual status lol!!

I sopreciatevtgey mean well, but Chifra takes advice from a Lawyer.  Better to be safe than incur the many fines that are be given.  It's all ludicrous, conflicting &&&&. 🙄.  Be over soon .... take care & stay safe.

More news, as from saturdau 2-May you may go for a walk 'once' a day during the times shown on this chart, up to 1klm.  Still keeping the distance rule!

Although in Spanish I think it's self-explanatory!

I hope I have attached chart properly and you can read it - I'm not very good with modern technology.  If it isn't ok, I can send via WhatsApp if you have it, but I would need your number!

Keep safe ..
