My husband and I are buying a villa in Chiclana and will be trying to get residency as soon as we complete the purchase. We need to get medical insurance to obtain the residency and wonder if anyone has any recommendation for this please?

Hi Susan
I used the following medical centre based in Chiclana for almost four years, prior to getting my Tarjeta Sanitaria!
CENTROS MED. ASIST. DE MED.INTEGRAL They are situated near the main market, sorry cannot remember the street name.They provided excellent care during my time with them
The joining process was very easy, they have interpreters available if this something you need. At the time of joining my fee as a single person was €13.50 with a couple paying double
If my memory serves me right I only took my passport and bank details with me.
Now that I think of it I may have taken my latest electricity bill as evidence of my residence!

Santitas is the best. Part of BUBA. They speak english The have the right policy for your residency application. The police requirement is very strict. Your coverage must cover everything and have no limits. Mine cost about 1850 for a year. I've had not problems going to a doctor or clinic. No bills or paperwork to do. Just show my card. Do not get misled by cheap imitations. You'll go for the appointment with the police and they'll tell you to go away and make an appointment for next month. I got my residency in 1 week with all the right paperwork. 2 visits. Here's some contact info:

I contact them and am very impressed. Saved a ton of money and got the same coverage with DKV.
