Hi folks

Looking to get internet installed in a villa in Chiclana, ideally one which can be turned on and off for visits. Please can anyone recommend any providers and how long will I have to wait for an install?

Hi, friends of ours use Olivenet in Chiclana as it can be turned on and off. They seem to be happy with it. They are in UK atm so don’t know any recent problems, if any. Hope this can help you

Hi

That’s really useful, thanks for the reply as I have no idea of which companies operate locally or what requirements are needed, do you know if you need a landline already installed at the address like in the U.K. or do they use 4G or other ways of hooking you up?

Thanks again

As far as I know it’s a roof aerial that they use not a land line

Thanks Chris I have it sorted it now using a company called Co-Fi formally Sky whose technology was already installed so I just needed a router. Good connection and options to turn on and off for holiday periods so all good. Thanks for your input  and the previous poster. Anyone need further info on this just drop me a line 👍

Hi, I am wondering how I go about setting up fibre optic broadband at my new property in the town, Conil De Frontera.

I saw your post about Co-Fi but i'm not sure how I find out if there is a phone line there and if not how I go about getting one installed ready for F.O broadband. Is the broadband good and reliable with good speeds?

Any help you can offer would be very much appreciated.

Hi

I will dig out the contact info for you, my line was already installed so it was a case of a new router and it was done. They were very helpful and even if you need a line I don’t think it would be an issue just a little more on an installation charge. As mentioned above I also went to olivenet who have a shop in Chiclana, the girl in there spoke good English which certainly helped me! She was really good. Both co-fi and Olivenet were efficient in terms of being available for installation and I only went with co-fi due to the line already being there and my neighbour using there service problem free.

Hi

The English speaking contact at olivenet was called Marina (Chiclana Branch) she can be contacted on +34 951560560 or [email protected]

The contact at co-fi was called Cristina Romero she can be contacted on [email protected] or as per email footer below.

Good luck!  I don’t think you will have a problem with either of these.

Regards

Andy
