Hi
I have used all the firms at Jerez
Goldcar, interrent, Avis, Dollar, Alamo or budget. I use a broker like holiday autos, argus car hire, do you spain or kayak and then book the best deal, I don’t buy the hire car companies insurance as it’s very expensive so I buy a separate annual excess insurance cover from questor insurance- downside you have to leave your credit card details to cover the excess €1200 it’s only pre authorised it don’t come off your card. I travel to Spain a lot and use the cars all the time so this system works for me. I always go over the car and point out any marks or damage and interior stains to ensure it’s recorded, goldcar always see the car out and in at Jerez airport so you can get things recorded. I always photo the car before departure on my phone just in case but I have never had a problem at Jerez Seville or Gibraltar. Always try to get full to full fuel policy as otherwise they will charge you for the fuel and you return it empty. It best to have it full and return it full there is petrol station on the slip just before the Jerez airport exit slip. Hope this helps!
