Hi we are Marie and Ste.

We would finally like to introduce ourselves. We have been trying to get to Arcos De La Frontera since last October. The buyers in our house sale have had nothing but problems with their house sale. It has been a stressful time for us with the clock ticking on Brexit then Covid 19 ahhhh.

We have kept a close eye on Arcos through this teribble time as it is a good time to evaluate our decitions. We do hope everyone is safe and well and managed to get through this awful time unscathed. We were very impressed and from the outside it did fill us with confidence.

Hopefully we are no more than 5 weeks away from completion.

We are looking to buy in the Old Town Centro area. We will be moving here permanently.

Are there any local walking groups?

My Spanish is non existent so I have found a lovely lady called Anlgela Cyst to book spanosh lessons with.

When i can get by with my spanish i would like to join a Yoga group. I say I because non of this is not Ste's cup of tea haha.

We do realise our future happiness in Arcos will depend on our language skills. I've been told by a local Estate agent hardly anyone speaks English.

Hopefully we will be there soon to start our new life there.

Hi

We've been here for 4 years and love it

There are walking groups but I only know of Spanish groups and as you say most people here don't speak English but joining one of those would be a great way to practice your Spanish

There was a Spanish/ English group in bar los Cabezuelos but due to covid 19 it hasn't been meeting but hopefully it will get going again as it was great to meet everyone

I'm sure you will love living here whereabouts in the old town are you going to be?

Hopefully we can get together for a coffee or drink sometime

Regards

Katie

Hi Katie, thank you for responding to my message. We are lhoping to look at several houses. Most of them are in the same area on the ouskirts of the old town that overlook the reservoir and river. I don"t know what area that is, the estate agents call it the historic central. I've worked out it's 7 mins walk to Super Arcos 😃

I am pleased you have settled in Arcos and love it. I would love to meet up for a coffee when we finally get there.

Hi Marie. We are 6 years in Arcos now and I am always looking for walking companions. I also practice yoga and am thinking of offering free yoga at the house for English speakers. Let me know when you arrive. Whatsapp is what everyone seems to use here to communicate. My number is 685 237 094. Cheers, Kippy

Hi Marie and Ste

We are looking to move to Acos ourselves later in the year or 2022 depending on Covid restrictions lol

I have just joined the group and wanted to make as many new friends as possible before we move their.  I am hoping by now you are settling into your new life and starting to a just to the change.

I love walking for pleasure as its usually with my dog Walter and enjoy anything Yoga related. I would love to make contact with you and find out more about your relocation.
